I seriously give up on trying to understand how people get popular on dA.
I swear man, I work my butt off to improve my drawings and if you look at what I draw now and look at what I drew 3 months ago you will see a huge improvement. If that's the case consider how much I've gotten better in the past 2 years.
I don't believe working hard gets you anywhere anymore. It's just luck and a bunch of other things not related to you.

I came here because of my friend redmint7 (https://www.deviantart.com/redmint7) and really liked the site!
Though I still do not understand how people get famous here.
Anyways...
I put all my super old drawings into my scrapbook, but here's a kind of old one.
YEAH so it's an old drawing to show my progress over the years I guess.
I found a great friend through this website, and though we can't talk much anymore I love you ChubiFlameAlchemist (https://www.deviantart.com/chubiflamealchemist) !! This drawing means a lot to me because it's our two characters.
I was very proud of this at the time, and I really want to redraw it! This is from 1-2 years back. I was improving a lot

why is a problem to don' t be popular? i mean a lot of the best artist in this site aren' t popular at all, look this [link] this girl is amazing, and just has 12 000 pv in 8 yars, that has no sense, but couse most of the people here aren' t good judjing art, they just search one specific type of drawings, and if you are good in it, they fave your work, and comment on it.
i mean, the most popular pic of my gallery is a sketch i made in 5 minuts with watercolours, and i can' t understand why people like it so much, and now i' m working in a ultra complicate drawing in pop style, but i know that it wiill recive just 1 or 2 faves, cose is not the think people expect to see, so don' t be sad, or worried for what other people think, if you like to draw, keep doing it, and if just a few people can apreciate it, is couse they really like your work, and not just couse you are popular.
